Ephesians 4:11-13 and 1 Peter 2:9-10, he said a powerful but simple statement.
“Matthew 28:19-20 charges all of His people to make disciples of all.
If this is the case, then we need to train His disciples to make disciples too.”
Note below the way Jesus trained His disciples, and they in turn trained others.
This is the sense of ‘equipping’ in Ephesians 4:11-13. The pastor/teachers are to prepare others to do ministry.
Jesus Christ -My example is for you to follow
“For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.” (Jesus in John 13:15)
Paul – Imitate me as I imitate Christ
“Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.” (Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:1)
Timothy – Be an example
“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech,
conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”
(to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:1-2)
